Poem on Bibi Sakina (as)
The Beloved Daughter of Imam Hussain cries in anguish. Her heart is breaking, in bits and pieces.
The little fragile body, so much in pain
She laments silently for the pain to end.
The vision in my eye’s pains my entire being.
A bright little star amongst a wicked world.
when a stranger approaches her she shivers with fright.
Feeling his inhumanity her ears getting ripped, an earing falling on the ground.
Teary filled eyes and a call of anguish
Little Sakina is filled with pain.
Blood drops trickle down her little neck
Wishing the stranger would stop!
No one to help her, once again the man raises his hand.
The silence was the only comfort she had.
Had he no shame?
Yet with dignity and her father's vision leads her
To carry on.
She understands she will meet her beloved father soon
And very soon there will be no pain.
